on the horizon
remind me of something,

                  seemingly beyond my reach...

         And you're sitting
so quietly
         on rooftop ledges
         just waiting
                  for the real finale.

We come together,
         nervous,
                  reckless,
                  flused and shaking,
         but the warm silence
calms us,
and you take my hand
         in yours.

With a burst,
         a glow,
                  a stampede of bass
                  falling from the sky,
we fall,
         seamlessly
                  together
into an ocean
         forever.
